100 Minories

A different project for here. We were drafted in to inspect the current installation of the electrical work on 100 Minories after a fallout among onsite trades saw an unfinished building. JWKE worked closely with the Client to ascertain the problems with the installation which turned out to be extremely onerous, and in many cases dangerous.

The total remedial and contracted testing works came to over £800k. During our inspections, we discovered the life safety cabling was not 2 hour fire rated as it should have been. This resulted in a complete removal of these cables and rewire in a near completed building.

Working closely also with the City of London Building Control, we remediated many other parts of the hotel in order to get it across the line withing an extremely tight timescale and budget.
